It's The Simple Things In Life....

As much as I love fashion, photography and music...and all the hobbies that these bring, there are simpler things in life that make me just as happy.

Grocery shopping is one of these. I don't know what it is about a grocery store, but it fills me with happiness. I can spend hours wandering the isles, reading labels, comparing prices, browsing everything from dvd's, to frozen fish. It never ceases to amaze me, nor do I get bored.

And when I find things that I haven't seen before...my jaw drops and I gasp and say "Ooh"

Here's 2 new treats I found this evening while shopping at Sainsbury's

Collective Gourmet Probiotic Yoghurt

As far as I know, these are the only 3 flavours sold at Sainsbury's: Passion Fruit, Russian Fudge and Apple+Spice. I've had Apple+Spice and it was amazing. I have a Passion Fruit one left in the fridge...Can't wait to try it. The yoghurt is so rich and creamy, and there's just enough fruit topping to balance it out and not overpower the yoghurt.

Ok, now this is just juice...BUT in addition to selling the regular fruit flavours(apple, orange, pineapple etc.) Sainsbury's have come up with a few new exciting, tropical fruit blends....FUN!

Introducing Apple, Strawberry & Lychee(which I am drinking as I type...love it) and Pineapple, Mango & Passion Fruit.

Are you as excited as I am?! Go get yourself some and indulge in these new sweet treats~!

It's HOT in Cannes

Back from France

So one of the last blogs I wrote was about working in the Cannes Lions office. I was chosen to work with the Promo & Activation team overseas at the EMAP Cannes Lions Advertising International Festival of Creativity, which, for those of you who don't know, is the most prestigious award worldwide for advertising and the festival takes place once a year in Cannes, France. There were, I believe, over 28,000 entries, celebrity speakers and 15,000 + delegates and creatives coming from all over the world to be at this festival. It was quite an honour to work there and be a part of the event, and also a great opportunity to meet some amazing people within the industry(not to mention attending some amazing parties).

Visual Merchandising Beyond The Windows

Some very cool foam structures covering the wall of Aqua on Carnaby Street!

Very stylish...apart from the bin bag in from of the shop ruining my photo!!

It's squishy foam!....I squeezed it :3

I think I Cannes!

I've been away for a while...and I have no good excuses for it...especially since writing a blog only takes a few minutes a day! My apologies.

What's new with me....

I've been working a grown-up job! In an OFFICE! weirddddd O_O
I work at Cannes Lions...You know, like the film festival in France?...except I work for the advertising festival that follows the film festival. It's not the most exciting job...but they let me wear whatever I want...which is a huge bonus. Today I've rocked up in my skinny jeans...baggy burger tee and gold chain :)

My Desk

I get bored sometimes~ haha
Also, I get to go to Cannes to work at the festival, expenses paid! Will be a lot of work, but I'm sure it will be very fun as well. It's nice to have a job with some perks...or else, what's the point??

That's all I have for you at the moment. But TO MY READERS IN CANNES, FRANCE....any advice on where to go? Interesting places and hot spots? :) Please let me know!

Sale Season

Hello all my fellow shopoholics out there!

So as you all are probably aware of, sales on the high streets are coming to an end. Signs have been taken down and shops are trying to get rid of their last few sale items.

My top shops for sales(speaking for menswear) are River Island & Topman, but River Island trumps TopMan in terms of value for money.

To some of you, River Island might still bring a bad taste to your style pallette, but through the past years, they have revamped their image and started jumping on trend with TOPSHOP and more specifically, All Saint's. You can definately see All Saint's influences in River Island's pieces, with worn out, stonewashed, rustic-rocker embellishments, however, they've still maintained their affordable prices, which, for me, makes all the difference. River Island has the best sale's which are then even FURTHER reduced towards the end of the sale period.

Here are two pieces I bought recently from River Island.
£3 for the glittery, bulldog officer tee, and £5 for the black, polyester gold snaps jumper.
Throw these on with some of my old skinny jeans and I've got a new outfit for £8!

Not sure if River Island's sale is still on(TOPMAN still has some sale items), but whenever the next one comes, be sure to hit the rails!

River Island Launch Branded Collection Of Sunglasses

River Island has launched their first ever branded collection of sunglasses for their menswear department. The collection is branded ‘Crooked Soul’ and will initially consist of 3 pieces, each sold with a hard leatherette case and retailed at £24.99.

The collection consists of a tortoiseshell plastic visor, black plastic aviator and a gunmetal visor designed to offer a cohesive look. The pieces all have intricate antique metal detailing including a gothic dagger with a ribbon wrapped around, a gothic designed CS and a series of stylised crosses on each tip.

Check out the detail!

Photography by Bobby Creger

The collection of 'Crooked Soul' frames have been designed, developed and manufactured by London based agency, Mellor & Scott Design.

Paul Mellor, Design Director at Mellor & Scott Design:

We have designed the collection from scratch, creating a collection of frames that push the boundaries of what can be achieved within a limited retail price. These are the types of frames and high-end details you would expect to find on premium goods sold at £200, but River Island and ourselves have worked hard so the frames can be sold at £24.99 yet still offer the added value offered by premium frames.”
