River Island Launch Branded Collection Of Sunglasses

River Island has launched their first ever branded collection of sunglasses for their menswear department. The collection is branded ‘Crooked Soul’ and will initially consist of 3 pieces, each sold with a hard leatherette case and retailed at £24.99.

The collection consists of a tortoiseshell plastic visor, black plastic aviator and a gunmetal visor designed to offer a cohesive look. The pieces all have intricate antique metal detailing including a gothic dagger with a ribbon wrapped around, a gothic designed CS and a series of stylised crosses on each tip.

The collection of 'Crooked Soul' frames have been designed, developed and manufactured by London based agency, Mellor & Scott Design.

We have designed the collection from scratch, creating a collection of frames that push the boundaries of what can be achieved within a limited retail price. These are the types of frames and high-end details you would expect to find on premium goods sold at £200, but River Island and ourselves have worked hard so the frames can be sold at £24.99 yet still offer the added value offered by premium frames.”
