River Island has launched their first ever branded collection of sunglasses for their menswear department. The collection is branded ‘Crooked Soul’ and will initially consist of 3 pieces, each sold with a hard leatherette case and retailed at £24.99.
The collection consists of a tortoiseshell plastic visor, black plastic aviator and a gunmetal visor designed to offer a cohesive look. The pieces all have intricate antique metal detailing including a gothic dagger with a ribbon wrapped around, a gothic designed CS and a series of stylised crosses on each tip.
The collection of 'Crooked Soul' frames have been designed, developed and manufactured by London based agency, Mellor & Scott Design.

“We have designed the collection from scratch, creating a collection of frames that push the boundaries of what can be achieved within a limited retail price. These are the types of frames and high-end details you would expect to find on premium goods sold at £200, but River Island and ourselves have worked hard so the frames can be sold at £24.99 yet still offer the added value offered by premium frames.”
